Kasco Marine — Authorized Dealer

Fountain Depot is a factory-authorized Kasco Marine dealer and a certified Kasco repair center, in business under the Fountain Place Co. Ltd. name since 1967. We sell the Kasco range to U.S. customers in U.S. dollars, shipped direct from Kasco's U.S. warehouse — and because we service and rebuild these units on our own bench, our sizing advice comes from seeing what actually fails.

Reading Kasco model numbers

The suffixes carry real meaning and are easy to get wrong:

  • AF — 120V single phase. HAF — 240V single phase.
  • .1 (3.1, 5.1) — 240V single phase, not three-phase. This matters: 3 HP and 5 HP units will run at farms and rural sites with no three-phase service.
  • .3 (3.3, 5.3) — genuine three-phase, and these ship with a CA-3235 control panel included.
  • R or HR — a replacement motor only, not a complete unit. Check carefully before ordering on price alone.

Verified AF series specifications

  • 2400AF — 1/2 HP, 120V, 5.7 running amps, 15" minimum depth, rated to roughly 1/2 acre
  • 3400AF — 3/4 HP, 120V, 6.7 running amps, 17.5" minimum depth
  • 4400AF — 1 HP, 120V, 9.1 running amps, 19" minimum depth
  • 8400AF — 2 HP, 240V, 9.0 running amps, 20" minimum depth

All AF units include a float and two 50' mooring lines, are ETL listed to UL and CSA standards, and carry a sacrificial zinc anode for freshwater or saltwater service. Standard aeration efficiency is rated up to 3.0 lbs of oxygen per horsepower per hour under Auburn University testing.
