Size bottom aeration for your pond in a minute.
Set your pond's size and average depth. We work out how many diffusers it needs, lay them out to scale, measure the air line to the compressor and match it all to the right Kasco system.
Your starting setup
Weighted air line · one run per diffuser
Send us a satellite screenshot of your pond and a Kasco-trained tech will mark exactly where each diffuser goes before it ships.

Big lake? Odd shape? No power nearby?
Send a satellite screenshot and rough depths. A Kasco-trained tech will map every diffuser, the compressor spot and the air line runs for you, free.
Where the numbers come from
Home Series coverage is Kasco's published depth chart. RobustAire is sized at about 1.5 surface acres per diffuser at 8 ft average depth, enough to turn the whole pond over roughly every 48 hours.
Why bottom aeration
A diffuser on the bottom lifts cold, low-oxygen water to the surface, so the whole pond mixes. That is what stops summer stratification, fish kills and the muck that feeds algae.
Too shallow?
Under about 6 ft, a diffuser cannot lift much water. A VFX aerating fountain or a surface aerator does the job better.

How many diffusers does my pond need?
It depends on surface area and depth. Kasco rates one Home Series diffuser for about ¼ acre at 6–8 ft, ½ acre at 9–12 ft and 1 acre at 13–20 ft. RobustAire systems are sized at roughly 1.5 surface acres per diffuser at 8 ft average depth, so a 3-acre pond typically takes an RA2.
Home Series or RobustAire?
Home Series (DA1, DA2) is built for residential ponds under 2 acres and up to 20 ft deep. RobustAire (RA1 to RA12) is the commercial line for ponds and lakes 8 ft and deeper, from about 1.5 acres up to roughly 18 acres with one system.
How deep does the pond need to be?
Diffused aeration works best from about 6 ft down, and RobustAire is designed for 8 ft and deeper. The deeper the water, the more each diffuser lifts. In shallow ponds, a VFX aerating fountain or surface aerator is the better tool.
How much air line do I need?
Each diffuser gets its own line from the compressor. Add the distance from the compressor to the water, the run out to each diffuser and the depth, then round up. Home Series and RA1 to RA3 include 100 ft per diffuser; RA4 and up ship without line.
Should the system run all the time?
Yes, once the pond has been brought up slowly over the first week. Kasco compressors are built for continuous duty, and running 24/7 keeps the pond mixed and oxygenated.
