Overview

Aqua Control Evolution Series floating fountains are compact decorative units designed for smaller ponds and landscape water features. The Spider & Arch pattern creates a dramatic circular display with arching outer streams, combining visual appeal with the circulation benefits of a floating fountain platform.

Questions our techs answer every week

What comes in the box?

The 0.5 HP single-phase fountain in either floating or stationary configuration, a pump cord with quick disconnect, 100 ft of mooring rope with two mooring stakes, and the controller on 60 Hz models.

Tornado and Torrent spray patterns are included. Other patterns are available separately.

What size pond does the Evolution suit?

Aqua Control rates it to aerate ponds up to half an acre, and it operates in a depth of 20 inches or more - shallower than most floating fountains, which is what makes it workable on small backyard water.

Beyond half an acre, step up to the Select Series or a Kasco unit. Send us your dimensions and we will confirm.

Is a controller included?

Yes on 60 Hz models, which is what ships in Canada. It is a 120V controller with a 24-hour timer for both motor and lights, a photocell for optional dusk-to-dawn lighting, and a NEMA 3R rainproof enclosure.

It is CSA listed and carries a Class A human-rated GFCI - worth checking against any unit you are comparing it to.

Can I run it floating or fixed?

Both. The Evolution is built in floating and stationary configurations, so it suits a pond where you want it moored in open water or a smaller feature where it is fixed in place.

Tell us which you need when you order - it is set at build, not switched afterwards.

How hard is it to install?

Aqua Control designed this one as plug-and-play. Quick disconnects mean no tools are needed for the cord connection, and the mooring rope and stakes are in the box.

The electrical supply still needs to be correct and safe - if you are unsure, have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit before you run it.

Do I need to remove it for a Canadian winter?

Yes. Any floating fountain should come out before freeze-up - ice will damage the float and can shear the unit.

For winter water movement, a de-icer is the purpose-built tool.
