Which control panel do I need for my fountain?
The C-25 is the most popular choice for decorative fountains - it combines a timer, photocell for lights, and GFCI protection in one panel. If you don't need lights, the C-20 (timer + thermostat) or C-220 (timer only) are simpler options. Three-phase commercial equipment uses the CA-3235 or CF-3235/CF-3075 panels.
Do I need a panel or can I plug in directly?
You can run most 120V Kasco units on a standard GFCI outlet, but a dedicated panel is strongly recommended: it adds proper timer scheduling, thermostat automation, GFCI protection rated for the load, and a weatherproof enclosure. For 240V and three-phase equipment, a matching panel is required.
Can I control lights separately from the fountain?
Yes - the C-25 and C-85/C-95 panels have separate light circuits with photocell control, so lights turn on at dusk automatically while the fountain runs on its own timer schedule. The Kasco LED light kits plug directly into these panels.
