Kasco AF surface aerators (1/2 to 5 HP) operate in as little as 15 inches of water and transfer up to 3.0 lbs of oxygen per horsepower per hour in independent Auburn University testing - the workhorse choice for lagoons, retention ponds, and shallow farm dugouts. The 3.1AF and 5.1AF run on single-phase 240V power, so rural properties without three-phase service can still run 3-5 HP aeration. Prefer a premium built-to-order option? Surface aerators and fountains work best in ponds under about 8 feet deep, providing visible agitation and oxygen transfer at the surface. How many diffusers do I need?
