Genuine Kasco VFX tube. The tube is what makes a VFX a VFX — it draws water from below the float and carries it up through the discharge disc, and the entire spray pattern depends on that column staying intact.
Ice movement is what bends them. Once the tube is bent or split the column collapses and the display goes flat no matter how good the propeller is, which is why a soft pattern on an otherwise healthy unit usually traces back here.
