Aeration & Circulation for Industrial Sites, Construction & Lagoons

Aeration & Circulation for Industrial Sites, Construction & Lagoons

Industrial-grade Kasco surface aerators, circulators, mounts and control panels for lagoons, process ponds and construction-site water - ETL listed, sized to your basin and power, quoted commercially.

Industrial sites, lagoons & process water

Nobody complains about how a lagoon looks. They complain about how it smells.

Working water gets judged on odour and compliance, not appearance. Leave a lagoon or process pond unaerated and it stratifies, the bottom goes anaerobic, and the script runs the same way every time: sulphur odour that travels past the fence line, sludge accumulating faster than anyone budgeted for, surface scum, and mosquitoes over every still corner. On construction sites, temporary ponds and holding basins turn stagnant within weeks of being dug.

  • We size the system before we quote it — against your actual basin dimensions, depth and distance to power. Free, and no obligation.
  • Equipment your engineer can sign off. Kasco surface aerators are ETL listed to UL and CSA standards, and independent Auburn University testing puts the AF series at up to 3.0 lbs of oxygen per horsepower-hour.
  • Power that fits a remote site. The 3 HP and 5 HP surface aerators come in 240V single-phase configurations, and the three-phase versions include a control panel.
  • We service what we sell. Authorized Kasco dealer and certified repair centre in Markham, with genuine parts in stock for equipment that runs continuous duty.

What happens after you hit send

Most suppliers in this category send you to a contact page and go quiet. Here is exactly what we do instead.

STEP 01

You tell us about the basin

Dimensions, depth, what power is at the edge, and whether the duty is seasonal, continuous or winter-only. If you don't have the numbers, a satellite screenshot and a few photos are usually enough to work from.

STEP 02

We size the system, free

We match horsepower and unit count to the basin, check what the electrical service will actually carry, and flag the things that cause trouble later — a cable run that won't reach, or a mount the shoreline can't take.

STEP 03

You get a real quote in one business day

Specific models, cable lengths, mounts, control panels and delivered pricing in CAD, line by line. The documentation a purchasing department or a consulting engineer needs to approve the spend.

The cost of leaving it

What still water costs an industrial site

A lagoon that isn't mixed isn't holding steady — it's stratifying. The oxygen goes out of the bottom layer first, and everything that follows starts there.

Odour that reaches the fence line

An anaerobic bottom layer produces sulphur odour, and odour travels. The complaint from a neighbour is what brings the inspection, and by then you are answering for the pond rather than managing it.

Sludge that keeps building

Solids settle and stay settled. Without oxygen and circulation at depth, organic material accumulates faster than it breaks down, and the cost lands later as a cleanout rather than sooner as equipment.

Stagnant basins on active sites

Temporary ponds and holding basins go stagnant within weeks of being dug — surface scum, algae and mosquitoes over every still corner, on a site that already has enough to answer for.

How we size it

What we need to know to spec it

Have these ready and we can usually specify a system the same day. Don't have them? Send photos and dimensions and we'll work it out from there.

Basin dimensions and depth

Surface area in acres or feet by feet, and how deep the water sits. This sets horsepower, unit count, and whether surface aeration or a bottom diffused system is the right approach.

Available power

120V, 240V single-phase, or three-phase, and how far the panel is from the water. The single-phase 240V option on the 3 and 5 HP units frequently solves remote-site power constraints.

Duty cycle

Seasonal, continuous, or winter-only. Continuous duty changes what we specify and what we stock for you, because equipment that never stops is equipment that eventually needs parts.

Two more things shape the configuration. Water character comes first: brackish, high-solids or corrosive water affects what we specify, and Kasco surface aerators run in freshwater or saltwater with a sacrificial zinc anode. Mounting comes second — float, dock or industrial mount, depending on what infrastructure is already there. One boundary worth stating plainly: Fountain Depot supplies, sizes and supports the equipment. Process design, treatment chemistry and any discharge or regulatory requirement stay with your engineer, and we will give your engineer whatever specification detail they ask for.

We specify from Kasco surface aerators for oxygen transfer and AquatiClear circulators for directional flow — clog-resistant intakes for dirty water, stagnant zones broken up, scum and debris moved off intakes and outfalls, and winter de-icing around structures on the same unit. Deeper basins take RobustAire diffused aeration with the compressor safely on shore. Around those go industrial and dock mounts where infrastructure allows a unit to be positioned without floats, Kasco control panels for scheduling, thermostat control and motor protection, and genuine Kasco parts to keep long-duty equipment serviceable.

Before you buy

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Kasco surface aerators are designed for continuous duty in ponds and lagoons and are ETL listed to UL and CSA standards.

They operate in freshwater or saltwater with a sacrificial zinc anode for corrosion protection.

Kasco's 3 HP and 5 HP surface aerators are available in 240V single-phase configurations, so high-capacity aeration does not require three-phase service.

Where three-phase exists, the three-phase models include a control panel.

A circulator produces directional horizontal flow - breaking up stagnant zones, moving scum and debris, keeping intakes clear, and de-icing around structures in winter.

A surface aerator maximizes vertical oxygen transfer. Many sites use both for different jobs in the same basin.

Yes. Circulators and de-icers are winter-duty equipment, and diffused aeration runs year-round with the compressor on shore.

Thermostat control panels run winter equipment only when temperatures require it.

No. Fountain Depot supplies and supports the aeration and circulation equipment.

Process design, treatment chemistry and regulatory or discharge requirements remain with your engineer, and we are glad to spec equipment to their requirements.

Stocked Kasco equipment ships across Canada in roughly 3 to 10 business days depending on province.

Multi-unit orders are quoted with per-line lead times through the commercial quote request.
